I held in what I was feeling

I held it in because

I didn’t want to show you

I have trouble forgiving myself

because I keep forgetting

that I am only human

I am only one person

I cannot do it all

Sometimes I can’t do anything

I’m at a loss

I don’t know what to say

I forgive myself

for that time when…

for every time when.

I forgive you

     I forgive you

I say, as I stand

in front of the mirror

Then I smile

as I walk away

because I’ve finally

forgiven myself for that time when…
